The Highlands

Wild skies, wild ridges, deep glens.

The Highlands

The icon of wild Scotland

The Scottish Highlands are the beating heart of the country's hiking culture — a vast, mountainous expanse where Munros pierce the clouds and glens stretch to the horizon. From the foot of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest peak, to the remote bothies of the far north, this is wilderness on a grand scale.

Whether you're chasing your first summit or a seasoned hill-walker after a serious day out, the Highlands reward every level of ambition with raw, unforgettable landscapes.

May to September offers the longest days and most stable weather. Late spring brings fewer midges; autumn paints the glens gold.
